[Guia para novatas] Sweet Lolita ao longo dos anos

Um dos estilos mais comuns da moda lolita é, sem sombra de dúvida, Sweet Lolita. Conhecido também por Ama Loli (do japonês amai, doce), esse estilo da moda lolita é muito descrito por posts antigos por tons pastéis, doses de doçura e fofura. Mas talvez essa definição hoje em dia não seja suficiente. O sweet lolita que conhecemos hoje muito difere do passado. É possível dizer que, apesar de ser sweet, suas nuances foram mudando década após década; dos outfits simples de cor lisa, passando por estampas comerciais, depois estampas próprias das marcas, ainda depois um sweet diabético, para chegar no que temos hoje, com nuances de classical misturadas, além de toda uma pomposidade.

One of the most common styles of lolita fashion is, without a doubt, Sweet Lolita. Also known by Ama Loli (from the Japanese amai, sweet), this style of lolita fashion is much described by old posts by pastels, doses of sweetness and cuteness. But maybe that definition today is not enough. The sweet lolita we know today very much differs from the past. It is possible to say that, despite being sweet, its nuances have been changing decade after decade; from the simple outfits of plain color, through commercial prints, then prints of the brands, passing through a sweet diabetic phase, to became what we have today, with mixed nuances of classical, and a whole pomposity.

Sweet lolita ao longo dos anos / Sweet lolita through the years

Se eu fosse definir o sweet lolita em uma só palavra, essa palavra seria "fofo". Considerando todas as mudanças pelas quais o sweet lolita passou, é difícil tentar limitá-lo apenas a "tons pastéis" e "temáticas infantis", porque nem sempre usa tons pastéis e nem sempre as roupas tiveram estampas.  Assim, resolvi fazer uma linha do tempo sweet lolita, a fim de mostrar as principais características das mudanças do estilo com o passar do tempo.

If I were to define the sweet lolita in one word, that word would be "cute". Considering all the changes that sweet lolita has undergone, it is difficult to try to limit it only to "pastel tones" and "children's themes" because it does not always use pastel tones and the clothes have not always had prints. So, I decided to make a sweet lolita timeline in order to show the main characteristics of the style changes over the time.

As datações são aproximadas, e portanto quando surgiu a nova tendência ainda estava sendo usada a antiga. Essas datações são só para ter uma ideia de quando começou cada tendência a se popularizar; lembre-se sempre que cada uma dessas formas de vestir sweet lolita é usada ainda hoje, sendo a linha do tempo só para referência.

[1990's] O alvorecer de lolita / The Dawning of Lolita

O Sweet lolita mudou muito com o passar do tempo. Na década de 1990 temos o que a Miss Caro Chan do F Yeah Lolita chama de "o alvorecer de lolita" [link]. A moda lolita está como um pequeno botão de rosa começando a desabrochar seus contornos. A silhueta nessa época tendia a ser mais relaxada, e a aparência no total mais casual, o que hoje consideraríamos como "boa tentativa, mas poderia melhorar". Nessa época também temos grande influência do que hoje consideramos grandes marcas otome, como Emily Temple Cute, Shirley Temple Cute e Jane Marple.

Sweet lolita has changed a lot over time. In the 1990s we got what Miss Caro Chan from F Yeah Lolita calls "the dawning of lolita" [link]. The lolita fashion in this time is like a little bud of rose beginning to unfold its contours. The silhouette at that time tended to be more relaxed, and the overall look more casual, which today we would consider as "a good try but could improve." At that time we also have big influence of what today we consider big otome brands, such as Emily Temple Cute, Shirley Temple Cute and Jane Marple.

[Early to Middle 2000's] Old School Lolita

Oldschool sweet lolita se deu em uma época onde as brands ainda não tinham como imprimir suas próprias estampas. Desta forma, é comum ver várias marcas usando as mesmas estampas comerciais florais, como é o caso da print gobelin, usada desde a Moitié até Angelic Pretty, além de florais e tartans, que também eram bem comuns. Nessa mesma época surge a icônica publicação Gothic & Lolita Bible.
Como não haviam muitas estampas na época, grande parte das roupas oldschool eram lisas; os detalhes ficavam por conta de cortes diferentes, rendas, babados, passamanarias, pintucks, body lacing frontal, entre outras peculiaridades. Headdresses e camisas com mangas bufantes eram muito usados, bem como laços na cabeça. As principais cores usadas pelas sweet lolitas daquela época eram rosa bebê, branco, offwhite, marfim, azul, vermelho e preto. A silhueta também não era tão pronunciada assim; vários vestidos da Baby da época sequer suportam uma anágua mais cheia dos dias de hoje sem parecer literalmente um sino.
É também nessa época que a Baby ganha muita notoriedade com o filme ícone lolita, Kamikaze Girls, onde a protagonista Momoko usa roupas oldschool dessa marca (naquela época não era chamado oldschool).

Oldschool sweet lolita occurried at a time when brands still could not print their own prints. In this way, it is common to see several brands using the same floral commercial prints, as is the case of print gobelin, used from Moitié to Angelic Pretty, besides tartans and floral prints as well. At that same time it's released the iconic publication Gothic & Lolita Bible.

Since there were not many prints at the time, most of the oldschool clothes were solid colors; the details were made by different cuts, lace, ruffles, trimmings, pintucks, frontal body lacing, among other peculiarities. Headdresses and blouses with hime sleeves were heavily used, and headbows as well. The main colors used by the sweet lolitas of that time were baby pink, white, offwhite, ivory, blue, red and black. The silhouette was not that pronounced, either; several BtSSB's dresses do not even support a fuller petticoat from nowadays without seeming literally like a bell.

It is also at this time that Baby gains much notoriety with the lolita icon film, Kamikaze Girls, where the protagonist Momoko wears oldschool clothes of that brand (at that time was not called oldschool).

[Mid 2000's - late 2000's] Sweet lolita "comum" / Average sweet lolita

Em meados da década de 2000 há um salto gigantesco na moda lolita que por si só deveria ser considerado um marco: as brands começam a fazer suas próprias estampas, o que acaba por aumentar a diversidade na hora de coordenar, além de garantir certa originalidade e particularidade, visto que cada marca fazia estampas de acordo com sua "personalidade". Quem antes usava oldschool, agora parte para as novas estampas lolita: frutinhas, bichinhos, brinquedos, novos florais... Quanto às maquiagens e ao cabelo das lolitas, eles ainda carregam um pouco do oldschool sweet: mais naturais, presos em twintails, ponytails, tranças, ou soltos lisos ou com cachos. Também continuam a usar perucas, só que não na grande proporção que temos hoje.

In the mid-2000s there was a giant leap in lolita fashion which in itself should be considered a milestone: brands begin to make their own prints, which ends up increasing diversity in coordinating, as well as guaranteeing a certain originality and particularity, since each brand made prints according to its "personality". Who used to wear oldschool, now begin to buy the new lolita prints: berries, animals, toys, new florals... As for the make-up and hair of the lolitas, they still carry a bit of oldschool sweet: more natural, stuck in twintails, ponytails, braids, or loose, flat or with curls. They also continue to wear wigs, but not in the large proportion we have today.

[Late 2000's ~ Early 2010's] A ascensão do Sweet OTT / The rise of OTT sweet

Por pelo menos 5 anos a trend OTT sweet teve seu apogeu. OTT significa "over the top", ou seja, algo exagerado. E não é para menos que essa trend recebeu esse nome: Perucas bem cheias com apliques de ponytails, em cores naturais ou fantasia; Grandes laços na cabeça, ou mesmo chapéus e coisas inusitadas, como bolos, sorvetes, pianos, carrosséis; Maquiagem de certa forma elaborada, inspirada em Gyaru, com circle lenses, cílios postiços e muitas vezes unhas totalmente decoradas; bolsas em formatos diversos como coelhos, pôneis, doces; mescla de cores pastéis; muitos acessórios de plástico em formatos de doces e brinquedos; entre outras coisas, compõem o sweet OTT. A grande marca no OTT é a Angelic Pretty, com suas prints barradas e com muita informação. 

For at least 5 years the OTT sweet trend has reached its apogee. OTT means "over the top", and for a good reason this trend received this name: Wigs well filled with ponytails, in natural or fantasy colors; Large bows on the head, or even hats and unusual things, like cakes, ice cream, pianos, carousels; Make-up in a certain elaborate way, inspired by Gyaru-kei, with circle lenses, false eyelashes and often nails totally decorated; bags in various shapes like rabbits, ponies, sweets; pastel colors; many plastic accessories in candy and toys shapes; among other things, are a must have in OTT sweet. The big brand in OTT sweet is Angelic Pretty, with its border prints and lots of information in the print.

O que eu acho mais legal da era OTT é que os vestidos podiam ser usados com OTT sweet e fora dele, como um outfit sweet lolita comum. Os anúncios da AP nas revistas da época muitas vezes eram com modelos usando sweet comum e em outras edições com OTT sweet. Sem dúvida, os vestidos OTT eram muito versáteis por causa disso. 

Não por ser minha trend favorita, mas Sweet OTT abriu as portas para que a trend Over the Top se espalhasse pelos outros estilos lolita, e por que não dizer, foi um marco para o aumento da criatividade em lolita.

Nessa época também surgiram alguns crossovers com outros estilos, que acabaram virando pequenas trends na época, como o crossover com decora (surgindo o deco lolita),e com fairy kei (fairy lolita).

What I find the coolest part of the OTT era is that the dresses could be worn in OTT sweet and out of it, like an average sweet lolita outfit. The AP ads in the magazines that time were often with models using common sweet and in other issues with sweet OTT. Undoubtedly, OTT dresses were very versatile because of that.

Not because it was my favorite trend, but Sweet OTT opened the door for the Over the Top trend to spread to other lolita styles, and why not say, it was a milestone for lolita creativity.

At that time also appeared some crossovers with other styles, that turned into small trends at the time, like the crossover with decora (becoming deco lolita), and with fairy kei (fairy lolita).

[Mid 2010's ~Today] Mature OTT Sweet [?]

Mature OTT Sweet não é considerado realmente um subestilo, sendo mais uma denominação que eu inventei para tentar diferenciar o que temos hoje do Sweet OTT diabético da Angelic Pretty até uns anos atrás. Com o passar do tempo, o sweet OTT deu lugar à trends Over the Top em outros estilos, como Classical e Gothic Lolita. Para sweet lolita, conforme o tempo foi passando, as prints também foram mudando; continuam exageradas, mas tem um certo "amadurecimento", uma certa pomposidade; não é por acaso que grande parte dos vestidos de hoje em dia dessa trend exigem perucas, coordenação elaborada, ou do contrário fica com ar de "podia ser melhor se colocasse uma peruca e lentes". Os vestidos tem um ar tão pomposo que apenas usar um laço comum e um par de tea parties realmente não fica muito bom.

Há também uma mudança em questão de materiais; muita coisa sintética, como poliéster, além de uso maior de transparências, como camisas de chiffon. Muitas saias tem uma pequena overskirt transparente, lembrando vestidos de contos de fada. Muito dourado, além dos desenhos sweet mais amadurecidos do que os da era diabética da Angelic Pretty são vistos.

Mature OTT Sweet is not really considered a sub-style, it is just a name I invented to try to differentiate what we have today from the diabetic OTT sweet from Angelic Pretty until a few years ago. Over time, sweet OTT has given way to trends over the top in other styles such as Classical and Gothic Lolita. For sweet lolita, as time went by, the prints were also changing; remain exaggerated, but there is a certain "maturing", a certain pomposity; it is no coincidence that most of today's dresses in this trend require wigs, elaborate coordination, or else it looks "it could be better if you wore a wig and lenses." The dresses look so pompous that just wearing a plain headbow and a tea parties shoes really does not look too good.

There is also a change in material question; a lot of synthetic stuff, like polyester, plus a bigger use of transparencies, like chiffon blouses. Many skirts have a small transparent overskirt, reminiscent of fairytale dresses. Much more golden color, in addition to the more mature sweet designs than those of Angelic Pretty's diabetic era are seen.

A brand que eu mais vejo fazendo esse tipo de estampa e cortes é a Angelic Pretty. Apesar de ser algo também exagerado, parece bem diferente da trend OTT em 2010 por exemplo. Enquanto perucas ainda são usadas, hoje em dia as perucas preferidas são as cacheadas, onduladas, Rhapsody, mais naturais; e mesmo que sejam de cores fantasia, normalmente são em pastéis bem clarinhos. Sapatos dourados, prateados, em material de cor metálica ou glitter também são bem usuais.

The brand I most see doing this kind of print and cut is Angelic Pretty. Although somewhat exaggerated, it looks very different from the OTT trend in 2010 for example. While wigs are still used, nowadays the preferred wigs are curly, wavy, Rhapsody, more natural; and even if they are fancy colors, they are usually in very light pastels. Gold and silver-colored shoes made in  metal colors or glitter are also very common.

Hoje / Today

Hoje em dia é difícil falar de uma trend absoluta, que predomina, como tínhamos na época do OTT Sweet ou na época do Oldschool. Com a ampliação do mercado lolita na última década, as opções são muito grandes, especialmente com as brands chinesas ficando acessíveis ao mercado lolita ocidental. Algumas linhas que podem ser delimitadas no que diz respeito a sweet lolita, em minha opinião, são: Vestidos muito rendados, como de Marie Antoinette, que são MTO's e muito caros; Vestidos com feelings mais Larme Kei, mais simples, soltinhos e usado de maneira mais simples sem ficar muito "lolita comum" (não sei se o rosto da Risa Nakamura com esses vestidos ajuda a propagar um ar mais Larme); Vestidos que dão para usar com otome e ao mesmo tempo com lolita; além dos relançamentos de prints famosas ou mesmo de vestidos lisos mais lembrando oldschool, além do Avant Garde das marcas chinesas, com prints inusitadas que até pouco tempo atrás ninguém imaginaria em sweet lolita.

Nowadays it is difficult to speak of an absolute sweet lolita trend, which prevails, as we had in OTT Sweet or Oldschool times. With the expansion of the lolita market in the last decade, the options are many, especially with the Chinese brands becoming accessible to the western lolita market. Some lines that in my opinion can be delimited with regard to sweet lolita are: Very lacy dresses, as of Marie Antoinette, that are MTO's and very expensive; Dresses with more Larme Kei feelings, simpler, more "loose feelings" (because of the polyester) and used in a simpler way without getting too much "average lolita" (I do not know if Risa Nakamura's face with these dresses helps to spread a more Larme feeling); Dresses that can be worn both otome and at the same time with lolita; besides the rereleases of famous prints or even plain dresses reminding oldschool, besides the Avant Garde of the Chinese brands, with unusual prints that until recently no one would have imagined in sweet lolita.

Qual seu período favorito de sweet lolita? O meu definitivamente é o Sweet OTT! Minhas últimas compras sempre tem sido de vestidos OTT que eram meus dream dresses. Eu gosto muito de poder usar ele tanto em sweet lolita comum quanto em algo mais elaborado, embora eu seja muito preguiçosa para deixa-lo elaborado.

What's your favorite sweet lolita era? Mine is definitely Sweet OTT! My last purchases have always been OTT dresses that were my dream dresses. I really like being able to use it both in common sweet lolita and in something more elaborate, although I'm too lazy to make it elaborated.

A Lolita Desmotivada / The demotivated lolita

A vida humana é repleta de altos e baixos; De fato, as coisas costumam mudar em escalas de tempo que variam bastante, desde intervalos de anos até intervalos de segundos, para as coisas mudarem de água para o vinho. Com lolita não é diferente: a vida em sociedade que levamos e muitas vezes até mesmo a vida na própria comunidade lolita, ou excluída dela, se torna um fardo difícil de carregar. Nada parece nos estimular para achar novamente divertimento em algo que com o tempo acabou por desbotar-se. Adicionar cor à sua vida lolita parece uma tarefa difícil, mas certamente não é impossível.

Human life is full of ups and downs; In fact, things tend to change on time scales that vary widely, from intervals of years to intervals of seconds, for things to change from water to wine. With lolita it is no different: the life in society that we take and often even life in the own lolita community, or excluded from it, becomes a burden difficult to carry. Nothing seems to stimulate us to find fun again in something that eventually fades. Adding color to your lolita life seems a difficult task, but it certainly is not impossible.

Descobrindo os motivos de estar desmotivada / Finding out why are you demotivated

Essa talvez seja a parte mais difícil do processo. Ache um canto solitário e calmo e comece a tentar descobrir o porquê de estar desmotivada com o estilo. Anote tudo em um papel. "O estilo é muito caro"; "não tenho amigas"; "estou insatisfeita com meu wardrobe atual" são algumas das causas que podem aparecer em sua lista de desmotivação. Pense em tudo que te deixa chateada no estilo. Se for muito difícil fazê-lo, imagine-se com seu wardrobe atual tendo que sair de casa sozinha para ir a um meeting: certamente você imaginará os empecilhos que enfrentará que a desmotivam: transporte público, pessoas atormentando, alguém em específico da comunidade; coisas que faltam em seu wardrobe. Liste tudo no papel com sinceridade, afinal você é a pessoa mais importante de sua vida, e você não deve mentir para si mesma.

This is perhaps the most difficult part of the process. Find a quiet, solitary corner and start trying to find out why you are unmotivated by style. Write everything down on paper. "Lolita is too expensive"; "I do not have friends"; "I'm unpleased with my current wardrobe" are some of the causes that may appear on your list of demotivations. Think of everything that pisses you off in style. If it is very difficult to be done, imagine yourself with your current wardrobe having to leave the house alone to go to a meetup: surely you will imagine the obstacles that you will face that discourage you: public transport, people saying bad things, someone specific inside the community; things that are missing in your wardrobe. List everything on paper with sincerity, after all, you are the most important person in your life, and you should not lie to yourself.

Tentando resolver os problemas / Trying to solve the problems

Uma vez colocadas no papel as causas de sua desmotivação, é hora de tentar resolvê-las. Logicamente que também é uma etapa que envolve certo esforço e estratégia. Lembre-se sempre que tudo é uma questão de perspectiva, e que normalmente são coisas que podem ser resolvidas ou contornadas. Por exemplo, se sua insatisfação é o wardrobe que você tem no momento, que tal delimitar metas para ele? Comece com "eu gostaria de ter x coisa" ou "preciso de x coisa". Como diz a lebre de março, se você não souber onde quer chegar, qualquer caminho servirá - para chegar a lugar algum. Tenha metas. Elas podem não ser alcançáveis no momento, mas tendo um plano você acaba chegando mais rápido em seu objetivo.

Se seu problema é a comunidade, saiba que você não é obrigada a participar dela; de fato, muitas lolitas ao redor do mundo usam o estilo para si mesmas, e mesmo sozinhas ainda aproveitam tudo o que o estilo pode oferecer. É legal participar das coisas em comunidade, mas saiba que você não precisa de uma comunidade - ou mesmo participar de uma - para se divertir em lolita.

Se seu caso for como o meu, que não aguenta o cenário atual lolita, e sente falta do que era antes, tente lembrar que aspectos de lolita antes te fizeram se apaixonar pelo estilo. Pode ser qualquer coisa; peças oldschool, um certo estilo de música que te fazia feliz em lolita, talvez um filme ou mesmo uma publicação. Tente achar coisas dessa época que te façam sentir bem.

Se você estiver se sentindo muito mal com o estilo a ponto de vender suas coisas, pense antes duas vezes ao fazê-lo; em tempos de crise muitas de nós acabamos por agir por impulso e fazer vendas das quais podemos nos arrepender depois. Se esse é seu caso, guarde suas roupas lolita em sacos e os armazene em caixas limpas e organizadas, de preferência fora do seu campo de visão atual. Espere algumas semanas antes de tomar a decisão de vender alguma coisa, e enquanto não passa esse prazo tente descobrir as razões de estar desmotivada e se há algo que possa ser feito.

Muitas vezes a carga emocional que carregamos parece transbordar; eu sempre tento fazer uma analogia a um copo: somos todos como copos d'água. Se enchem o copo até seu limite, uma gota é suficiente para transborda-lo. Será que sua vida cotidiana, seu trabalho, seus estudos, seus relacionamentos, não estão demandando de você mais espaço que seu copo suporta? E você acaba descontando em lolita porque parece o único lugar em que pode descontar? É algo a ser considerado.

Once you put the causes of your demotivation on paper, it's time to try to solve them. Of course it is also a step that involves some effort and strategy. Always remember that everything is a matter of perspective, and that usually are things that can be resolved or circumvented. For example, if your dissatisfaction is the wardrobe you have at the moment, what about setting goals for it? Start with "I would like to have x thing" or "I need x thing". As the March hare says, if you do not know where you want to go, any way will do - to get you anywhere. Have goals. They may not be reachable at the moment, but having a plan you end up getting faster at your goal.

If your problem is the community, know that you are not obligated to participate; in fact, many lolitas around the world use the style for themselves, and even alone they still enjoy everything the style can offer. It's cool to take part in things in community, but know that you do not need a community - or even participate in one - to have fun on lolita.

If your case is like mine, which can not stand the current lolita scenario, and misses what it was before, try to remember what aspects of lolita made you fall in love with style. It could be anything; oldschool pieces, a certain style of music that made you happy in lolita, maybe a movie or even a publication. Try to find things of this time that make you feel good.

If you're feeling really bad about style to the point of selling your things, think twice before doing so; in times of crisis many of us end up acting on impulse and making sales that we can later regret. If this is your case, store your lolita clothes in bags and store them in clean, organized boxes, preferably out of your current field of vision. Wait a few weeks before making the decision to sell something, and as long as you spend that time try to find out the reasons for being unmotivated and if there is anything that can be done.

Often the emotional load we carry seems to overflow; I always try to make an analogy to a glass cup: we are all like glasses of water. If you fill the glass to its limit, one drop is enough to overflow it. Does your daily life, your work, your studies, your relationships, are not demanding from you more space than your glass supports? And you end up throwing all the fault on lolita because it seems like the only place you can throw it in? It is something to be considered.

Algumas coisas para se inspirar / Some things to get inspirated

Eu não vou ser hipócrita - mesmo porque isso não é de minha natureza; nem sempre as crises de desmotivação são resolvidas. Muitas vezes é o caso da pessoa realmente ter perdido o interesse e deixar a moda lolita. E isso é perfeitamente normal e válido; cada um sabe seu tempo, quais são suas prioridades e o que devem fazer com suas vidas. De qualquer maneira, faça sempre o que você se sentir melhor - depois de pensar e refletir bem sobre o assunto. Afinal, a vida é sua e você deve sempre tomar as melhores decisões para consigo mesmo. 

Para quem resolveu permanecer e dar mais uma chance ao estilo, não há receita de bolo para estar motivada; cada pessoa reage a diferentes coisas. Não é exato, mas sim subjetivo; o que me faz bem pode não te dar o mesmo efeito e vice versa. Em todo caso, posso elencar algumas coisas diferentes para que se faça para talvez tentar achar motivação.

• Revistas: Gothic & Lolita Bibles são fontes atemporais de informação; embora surjam Mooks  sazonais aqui e ali, eles não tem a mesma profundidade das Bibles. Quem sabe olhar street snaps e ficar imaginando como é ser uma lolita no Japão possa te deixar com mais ideias fresquinhas para tentar no estilo e no cotidiano;
• Livros: faltam matérias mais profundas sobre o estilo lolita na sua vida? Uma sugestão é o livro So Pretty, Very Rotten que até agora eu não fiz review porque sou uma preguiçosa que abrange com uma certa profundidade vários aspectos sobre a moda.
• Séries, doramas, qualquer coisa do gênero: há alguns em uma das guias do blog, "guia para iniciantes". Há também sugestões de filmes e alguns reviews toscos que fiz.

I will not be hypocritical - because it is not my nature -; crisis of demotivation are not always resolved. In some cases the person really has lost interest and leave the lolita fashion. And this is perfectly normal and valid; everyone knows their time, what their priorities are and what they should do with their lives. Either way, always do what you feel best - after thinking and reflecting well on the subject. After all, life is yours and you should always make the best decisions for yourself.

For those who decided to stay and give one more chance to style, there is no cake recipe to be motivated; each person reacts to different things. It is not exact, but subjective; what makes me good may not give you the same effect and vice versa. In any case, I can list a few different things to do to maybe try to find motivation.

• Magazines: Gothic & Lolita Bibles are timeless sources of information; although there are seasonal Mooks here and there, they do not have the same depth as the Bibles. Como você lida com a desmotivação em lolita? É algo recorrente? Para mim, sempre é um assunto que acaba retornando. Eu sinto que antigamente ser lolita era mais divertido, e que hoje muitas vezes o estilo é usado como sinônimo de status entre a comunidade e competição de outfits. De qualquer maneira, quando me sinto triste com o estilo, sempre tento olhar essa foto, e ela me traz um tipo de consolo, um sentimento terno que quero manter para mim. Sempre abro esse livro nessa página e fico pensando como queria ser assim quando comecei - uma lolita independente que usa o estilo por gostar, por fazer se sentir bem. Essa foto me passa algo tão positivo que nem sei explicar. 

How do you deal with lolita demotivation? Is it recurring? For me, it's always a returning subject. I feel that being lolita some years ago was more fun, and that today often the style is used as synonymous of status among the community and competition of outfits. Anyway, when I feel sad about the style, I always try to look at this picture, and it brings me a kind of solace, a tender feeling that I want to keep for myself. I always open this book on this page and wonder how I wanted to be like this when I started - an independent lolita that is in the style because she truly enjoy it, because it makes her feel good. This photo gives me something so positive that I can not explain.

International Loliday 2018.1

Por muito tempo eu não tive o costume de comemorar lolidays; ou estava ocupada e acabava passando direto pela data, só descobrindo algum tempo depois pelas fotos de outras garotas, ou não tinha ninguém que pudesse comemorar comigo e acabava passando em branco.

Ano passado eu comecei a comemorar melhor a data. Foi muito legal que em pleno loliday meu dream dress chegou, num domingo! Um verdadeiro milagre de loliday, o que fez ele ser muito especial.

Esse ano, como tenho mais duas lolitinhas morando comigo, resolvi fazer uma mini tea party para nós. Foi bem divertido! Eu usei meu Little Bears Café que recebi esses dias.

For a long time I did not have the habit of celebrating lolidays; or I was busy and went straight through the date, only discovering some time later for the photos of other girls, or there was no one who could celebrate with me and ended up going blank.

Last year I started to celebrate the date better. It was really cool that last loliday my dream dress arrived on a Sunday! A true miracle of loliday, which made it very special.

This year, as I have two more little lolitas living with me, I decided to make a mini tea party for us. It was really fun! I used my Little Bears Cafe that I received last week.
