[Lolita 52 Challenge] Combining other fashions with Lolita

Today's theme is: "combining other fashions with Lolita".
To be honest, I am not very adventurer to go by myself explore other fashions, mainly because I am totally a 2008 lolita. I like that lolita era so much, and my dream was to wear a modest kind of sweet lolita everyday to go to supermarket lol. Dreams come true, guys.

Well, the only time I tried something out of my comfort zone was last year, when I tried a crossover with decora fashion. I know this could have more accessories, but in everyday life I use near none, so these few accessories are a lot to me usually lol.

[Lolita 52 Challenge] My first meetup

Today's theme is "My First Meetup".
I went to the capital with my friends wearing lolita for quite a few times, but I consider as my "first" meetup the Gothic Meetup that happened in 2016, because it was the first time I went out with a large group of lolitas not knowing many of them. It was a lovely day, and I felt like I was a true lolita going to a place I saw many lolitas going through the years, like, it was my dream to go there too.

This feeling is so fun to remember, because nowadays I wear lolita pretty much all the time and there are ages I don't attend a meetup, so I would be tempted to ask my old me - the one of 2016 - if going to a meetup is necessarily a requirement to be ticked out of the "true lolita's to do list".

[52 Lolita Challenge] Lolitas I would love to meet

Today's theme is "Lolitas I would love to meet".
To be honest, I have a super big list of lolitas I would love to meet, and it is so huge that I would spend hours and hours listing names here.
So, if I had to choose one person to list here, it would be Cazz! I think Cazz is amazing, and we would be best friends forever if we lived near! We like the same things and have similar thoughts, so I would be super happy to meet them!

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Wardrobe blunders! Things I bought that I ended up regretting!

Today's theme is: "Wardrobe blunders! Things I bought that I ended up regretting!".
To be honest, it is so hard to me to regret buying something, that is very hard to think about an item. The only item that comes in my mind is this pair of garthers. I bought thinking they would help me solve the problem with my socks falling down, but they only create more problems.

And you, what do you regret buying?

[Lolita 52 Challenge] 5 pieces that every Lolita wardrobe should have, regardless of style

Today's theme is: "5 pieces that every Lolita wardrobe should have, regardless of style".

1. Cream/offwhite long sleeved blouse or bolero. It matches almost everything and every style. At least in my wardrobe, I wear my offbrand offwhite blouse more often than my white blouses/cutsews from Angelic Pretty. Offwhite looks amazing with black, and it looks so perfect with florals too.

2. Offwhite legwear. Same reasons as above.

3. Comfy low shoes, in pink if you are sweet, or black, if you are gothic.

4. A good petticoat, in medium lenght. As many layers as possible. Petticoats will deflate with the time, so if you have more layers, less you will need more support.

5. Bloomers. For God's sake girls, stop showing your ass when wearing lolita. "bUt ThE DrEsS cOvErS iT". No, it doesn't. The slightly bend you do, everyone sees everything. Keep it in mind. Unless you want to show it on purpose, but if it is not the case, and you don't have a friend to tell you your ass is showing, I'm here to do so.

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Why I wear Lolita?

Today's theme is: Why I wear Lolita?
This is something I never questioned myself, until the present moment, when this challenge asked me, lol.
Lolita is so natural to me as breathing. When I wear lolita, I feel beautiful, strong, brave, I feel myself. It is so magical! Also, I love the lifestyle aspect of the fashion, so it is all I could want in my life.

Why do you wear lolita?

[Lolita 52 Challenge] How I first found out about Lolita

Today's theme is "How I first found out about Lolita".

I was in vacations at my aunt's house in Mato Grosso (a state in Brazil), in 2008. The city was, and maybe still being in the middle of nowhere, three days and nights by bus from my state, and all you see is soy fields for three days inside the bus. It was in the middle of nowhere, just like Shimotsuma Monogatari, that I first found out about lolita fashion while browsing internet. I was bored, working in my aunt's store, and while I was on the computer, I started searching for a mini hat in Avril Lavigne's style, and ended up finding a lolita mini hat photo hosted in the - nowadays dead - Queen Victoria's Dolls brazilian lolita website.
I was so amazed by that style... It was all I loved. Since I was a child I used to draw brides and princesses in old notebooks and I wished I was a bride everyday so I could wear poofy dresses. I also would spin around my own feet when wearing dresses to make them poofy with the wind as a princess' dress. And for my delight, this fashion had a punk substyle, that covered the kind of style that I was liking in my teenage. Everything I could wish for in my life.

I remember that day I opened my flip phone and I texted my friend in extasis: "I discovered what I am! I am a lolita!!!", and since then I couldn't take this fashion out of my mind.

And you, how do you found out about lolita?

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Trends I thought I loved, but now I'm not too keen on

Today's theme of the 52 weeks challenge is: Trends I thought I loved, but now I'm not too keen on.
Don't know if I can call the following items as "trends", but they annoy me, so I am going to talk about them.

1. Wigs. At first I thought they were a super great option for changing hair without having trouble, but as the time was passing by, I realized THEY were a trouble. Too hot, too heavy, too uncomfortable. I'm too old to wear uncomfortable things.

2. Rocking Horses. Yeah, you are going to hear me complaining about them, and you know what? I will still complain and still keep them in my wardrobe because I like their aesthetic, but not all the times I fall on the street because of them. Melissa x VW ones are a hell of one kilogram per foot, and everytime I fall off them I can swear I can't say if I broke my ankle or not. But it hurts. A LOT.

3. Mary Janes. I swear these are not from God. I bought a pair from a local brand and omg how am I supposed to walk in something that hurts so much. It is impossible that there is not one single option of oldschool aesthetic shoes that don't fucking kill my feet.

4. Gloves. Stay classic as if your smartphone didn't exist, because that's what Victorians fucking do. I hate gloves, I lose all my touch when I wear them, from lace gloves to winter gloves. I just hate it so much. Plus they get dirty so easily, kinda gross, ew. Searched so much for a pair of lace gloves and I don't wear it at all because I think it is so annoying

5. Multi-purses coord. That looked so awesome when I started the fashion, seeing all those clones wearing two bags (a pony and a heart shaped hand bag) plus a totebag or a brand shopping bag, and a parasol, and there was still room for holding each others' hands. Now, I still think it is cute, but impractical as hell. Will I use bags like this someday? Probably, just after mentally calculating the best way to take them off to go to a public restroom or planning to go to the best restrooms I can find.

And you?

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Predict the next Lolita trend!

Today's theme is: "Predict the next Lolita trend!"
Well, in my oppinion, the trend is already here: sneakers in lolita!
While I have already done it a decade ago with baby pink All Stars - and was considered ita! -, that's a trend I am neutral about. While I don't imagine myself - MYSELF!!!! - wearing sneakers with lolita, I wouldn´t mind of wearing them to the gym to lolify my stupid gym clothes a little.

And you, what will be the next trend?

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Why don't I wear Lolita more often?

Today's theme is: "Why don't I wear Lolita more often?"

Well, there are two reasons. In the morning I usually go to the gym, so no lolita there for burando safety reasons.
The other reason is depression, I've been suffering a lot with it lately, so wearing lolita needs so much energy, energy the most of the time I don't have, so I am giving myself some time to recover.

And you, why don't you wear lolita more often?

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Fondest meetup memory

Today's theme is "Fondest meetup memory".
I was never a meetup person, but this one I treasure so much: the time I went to my first international tea party and could buy directly from the Angelic Pretty booth! It was so amazing, you know, be able to be in person buying a lolita dress from your favorite brand, and not having to need a shopping service or waiting months for the item to arrive! I really hope I can do it again soon!

I don't have any fondest memory with someone in particular because, well, I think I am a person who is too difficult to make friends. Maybe I have a problem or something, but I tend to repel people without even noticing. Long time ago I used to be concerned about this, but nowadays I just accepted that it is something I can't avoid - my resting bitch face, so I just embrace it.

[Lolita 52 Challenge] Best places to wear Lolita

Today's theme is "Best places to wear lolita".
Well, when I saw other bloggers doing this topic, I saw gorgeous cafés, european museums, and so on, always amazing places.
Turns out I am a lone lolita with no comm near, living in the third world, and what's worse, in the interior of the interior of the third world. Going to one of these places would take me just a crossing of one ocean, and maybe a denied visa to the United States, but oh well.
So, as I have to settle for what's available, these are the places I like to go wearing lolita.

1. The supermarket

A place that mix discounts AND air conditioning. That's something that is always pleasant.

2. Cafes with air conditioning system

Have I told you that Brazil is so hot? Now I have.
Sometimes I like to go to cafes and eat sweets. I don't like to go when it is too crowded because I am totally antisocial. A lone café is always perfect.

3. The library

I am lucky enough to have an old library near home, and as the building is historical, I always feel happy when I go there, plus the librarians are so kind to me.

4. My Cello classes

Going to my classes wearing lolita is always fun, especially because that's a hobby I choose because of lolita, more specifically because Kanon Wakeshima. Everyone treats me well there.

And you, where do you like to go wearing the fashion?
