I remember doing this challenge at least once in my Facebook a long time ago, and I think now would be a good time to do it again!
Well, to begin, let's specify what bag, because I have many; to be more specific, I own 37 bags (that are already in Brazil, I still have a few to arrive, that are stuck in Japan because covid).
The content of my bag will depend on the size; usually I carry more or less the same things, but if it is a very small bag I will carry less things of course.
Well, said that, despite having all those, for my daily lolita I usually wear only 3 bags. Not that I don't wear the other ones, I wear them less, and I wear these three more often.
I love that these three match like almost everything I wear in my daily lolita wardrobe.
First one, an Usakumya (Baby, the Stars Shine Bright); Second one is a Bubble Heart Bag (Cotton Candy Feet) and third is a heart bag from Atelier Leticia Diniz.
Okay, so what's in my bag?
1. Glasses box from Rilakkuma
2. A cute plastic bag I store mail receipts
3. Hello Kitty medicine case
4. Monthly necessities, in a small bag made by me
5. My wallet
6. My keys (hidden of course) in a very cute rose key chain
7. My phone (represented by its case, because I am using it to take the picture)
That's what I usually carry with me; sometimes I also carry a small case with some makeup, depending of where I am going at that day.
Again with the lolita challenge, today's theme is "10 things you will never do in lolita". I think I never thought about that, so I will not be able to write 10 of them - but it doesn't mean the things I didn't say here I will do; I just not discovered them yet to say I will not do them haha.
Wa Lolita and Qi Lolita
Those two substyles. They just don't fit my aesthetic and don't call my attention.
HORNS
That's a thing I absolutely would never never never wear. They were a trend some years ago and I think it is so strange. Not living for it.
Piercings and tattoos
Well, those are things I would not do even outside lolita, neither inside lolita - but at this point, what is outside lolita? I breathe in lolita! Haha. But I don't like tattoos in me (other people, you can do whatever you like), neither piercings, neither the pain and all the care you have to take with them. I don't even remember to put sunscreen on my face, who will say about putting it on the tattoo for it not to fade. $$$$$$ AND THE MONEY $$$$$$, I would make so many second hand purchases with that money AND don't feel any pain. Win-win.
Circle lenses or any lenses
I am always trying to improve my makeup, even learned how to put fake eyelashes, but I will never wear lenses! When I was a baby lolita, I remember liking the aesthetic so much and wanting to wear them, until a very experient lolita in the comm had a problem in her eyes because lenses - and she was very careful with them and she was wearing lenses for years. I am a very visual person so just the remote thought of having a problem with my eyes makes me anxious. For me, fashion is all fun and laughs, but when it can have a possibility of harm my health, that's a line I will not cross.
Geek or nerd inspired lolita outfits
I am not geek neither nerd, so... makes sense right? You will never see me wearing Doctor Who inspired outfits (because who is Doctor Who? I never watched it) or comic inspired outfits. Yeah I am boring as hell.
I think that's all for today.
Again, those are things I would not do, but you are free to do them as you like.
Is there something in my list you would never do in lolita too?
Continuing the 30 days lolita challenge, today's theme is "10 songs that inspire you for lolita".
I really don't think there are that many songs that inspire me for lolita, since the first thing that comes to my mind is lolita music and I would prefer rock and metal instead of lolita music. But I will try my best.
1. Nana Kitade - Kibou no Kakera
When I was just a baby lolita, my favorite lolita music was Nana Kitade. Her style was always inspiring and eye catching: plaid, pandas, cute frilly blouses, mixed with piercings and loads of fake hair. Nana Kitade was literally a living mix of cute and punk. Her vocals also were so cute!
This song always make me remember I was fascinated with her outfit in this video, and as I tried so bad to make an outfit like this modifying used clothes. I always feel more nostalgic than inspired when I hear this, but I was more joyful and -alive!- in lolita in that time.
2. Kanon Wakeshima - Monochrome Frame
I also like this music a lot, but not because a specific reason. It is one of the musics I like to listen to in my closet when I am working, sewing or dressing up. I like to listen to all the musics of this album tbh.
3. Die Milch - Gothic and Lolita
I had the amazing opportunity to purchase the Sinfonia CD directly from the vocalist Coco, and I love to listen the whole CD in my closet too! I want to purchase more CDS! I can't wait for Japan send things again to Brazil.
4. Rin Oikawa - She Said (Kamikaze Girls OST)
This music was obbligatory soundtrack when I travelled alone in lolita to a meetup. As I always had to take some busses and arrived late in the night at home, sometimes I even took a nap inside the bus, I would listen to this music when I was heading home. It is very nostalgic to me and everytime I listen to it I feel inspired to continue in lolita.
5. Cecil - Super Shomin Car (Kamikaze Girls OST)
While "She said" was for when going back home, "Super Shomin Car" was for when I was going for the meetups. This music is so joyful!
6. MC Melod¥ Doll - Throw it in the Bag
This music is wondeful! I used to sing it everyday all day in my work to remind myself why I was working for. It is very funny every day I feel like I am becoming more and more the brandwhore the lyrics describe. And I also have Sugary Carnival AND Puppet Circus, so I am missing the Church Gate haha.
7. Lil Burando - Frillz
This music is SOOO GOOD! And as always, it seems like she is talking about me in the lyrics! I have Milky Chan, Dreaming Macaron and Pastel a la Mode, I just need Iron Gate and Gingham Rose haha.
I think that's all for today!
Do you know and or like one of those?
The only one I didn't post that make my day in lolita is Al Yankovic's parody of Backstreet Boys, the Ebay song. Everytime I win an auction or can get a rare AP item that no one saw at second hand site, I like to listen to that part he screams "I AM THE HIGHEST BIDDER!!!!!" (Click here for reference lol)
There is a loong long time I do not answer this challenge, but I thought it would be funny to start to answer again!
Today's theme is "10 people that inspire your lolita style"! This is a hard post for me, because I get inspiration from everyone - I am always learning something new with all my friends! It is hard to remember everyone, so I will list my top 3!
#1 - Katie Babydoll
This photo is from when we twinned! Katie is a wonderful person and an amazing lolita! Also, they make wonderful outfits outside of lolita too! I always get inspiration from their coords, and I always like to watch them when there's a live on Instagram! I learn a lot! Katie is never afraid to try something new with fashion, and mix styles, and their coords always are unique!
#2 Milkyfawn
I love Milkyfawn! I really get very inspired when I read her blog, and I always go there when I want to get very inspired haha. She also makes me more confident to do what I like and do not pay attention to what people say. Her wardrobe was an inspiration too, obviously, and today I have some prints she had too. I feel sad because she is no longer in lolita, because she was always a big inspiration in my lolita life.
#3 Momoko
And what would be of my list without Momoko?
Momoko always played a major role in my life, she looks so much like me in many aspects: a lonelita, who lives in a small town in countryside, ends stepping in cow shit (my case was horse shit), takes hours and trains (my case, busses) to arrive at big city and have a lolita day there. Everybody makes fun of her in her hometown; her room is all decorated with her lolita possessions, and she lives for lolita. The main differences between us is that I worked since I started in lolita to pay my things, and that instead of dying for Rococo and BtSSB, I would die for Angelic Pretty.
I love to watch the movie many times and I always get inspired by her lifestyle. I need to watch this week because I want to take a better look on her roomwear, because my latest obsession is to sew roomwear with the fabrics I have here.
The 6th day's challenge is: 10 things I can't live without in lolita!
1. Internet
How do you buy things without internet? How can I talk to my friends from other countries without the internet? Internet is like 90% of what makes the hobby go forward, from buying things, interacting, researching, new trends ... Everything revolves around the internet!
2. Money
Lolita is a money-consuming hobbie! Even trying to stay on a budget and searching for bargains, you still need the money.
3. Makeup
I hate to put the "concrete" on my face, and in everyday life I avoid it, but when it comes to lolita I think it's indispensable to wear makeup, at least for me and my case; In your case, your problem. Another very important thing is to wash the brushes, in order to avoid a rampant acne.
4. A decent Petticoat
Because petticoat is the key to the whole thing being good!
5. Phone
A pic of my actual phone from my mom's phone. Her camera is the worse!
I can't live without the camera and stickers of my favorite apps! I just imagine me ten years ago seeing the me of today put original stickers of Imai Kira and London Sirosaki on my lolita photos!
6. Lolita inspired decoration
I can't live in a place that isn't decorated! Even my most stupid little things I like to decorate or make them pink, or both.
7. Magazines
I always need inspiration, and as my favorite lolita phase has passed, I like to flip through the magazines of that time and feel like I'm back then.
8. Brand
I can't live without brand! Because I got in lolita for this: to surround myself with old Angelic Pretty prints. If you do not like it, ok, but I love and live for it. If you think my outfits are not creative enough for using too much brand, I am sorry to say that I give a total of zero fucks for this, since I dress for myself and not for you.
9. A rainbow of socks!
Because there is no such thing as "too many socks".
