Nails of the Week #37

There is some time I don't do my nails.

That's because you can't have long nails when you play cello. I got a little unmotivated to paint them lately, but I am trying my best to make it an habit again.

I discovered an one dollar store near my house!

Cute pen and a gel pencil eyeliner - in pink!!!!

Pink spray bottle for house cleaning.

♥ Cry Baby ♥

Look what I was gifted~

The 2016 me would be slapping the 2023 me with a rocking horse shoe on my face.

In Brazil we say "never say you will not drink of this water, because maybe you will" and I am paying my tongue.

Back in years, I used to have a little prejudice about Melanie Martinez about all this Cry Baby stuff, and because they used heavy "baby stuff" symbology, I kinda had an "ewww, it resembles dd1g"  feel about the subject, so first thing was to avoid it, and second, she wore Angelic Pretty pieces a few times in a non lolita way, so it was enough to make the more hardcore lolitas go nuts, imagine me, that would just follow the herd at that time.

But hey! I had never listened to the songs. They're actually pretty good and I love how she uses this childish stuff, in a way that who looks outside thinks it is stupid (like I used to do), but when you stop to listen and try to understand the music, she talks about pretty dark and deep issues. Very apocalyptic, I like that.

So, I am the newest owner of a Cry Baby cd, and I am so excited! Can't stop listening to it!

And about all the shit I've said about it in the past, I gotta wash my mouth out with soap.

Life updates

This weekend we got rid of so many things and painted furniture. I am very optimistic about the way things are going here.

Also, I start one more cello class tomorrow, so I will be attending two different cello classes - and probably training 5 days a week. I am very happy! 

[Got Lolita] Otome no Sewing 17

Yeah! Last days I got my copy of Otome no Sewing 17 that I had preordered through a brazilian bookstore. I think I will keep doing it to not miss any volume anymore.

About the Otome itself, I think there could be more "pure" lolita material (even though I like the Pink House-esque dresses, I would love to have more strict lolita silhouette patterns). But the few ones that are in there are very interesting, and I am wanting to sew them to wear to my cello classes; Bonus for the coffin bag that looks so cute, but I need to figure out what they use to give it the strenght/shaping.

About the purchase itself, I want to try buying straight from Japan in the next time to compare how long it takes to arrive, versus the taxes and shipping, and the final price. It took four months to arrive, starting to count since the release date. I didn't find the amount I paid for the brazilian bookstore bad, in fact it is very reasonable, but maybe it could arrive earlier if ordered directly from Japan with EMS, not by sea. So, just curiosity. But indeed, it is so easier to order through the brazilian bookstore, plus you don't have any headdache.

This is something I never questioned myself, until the present moment, when this challenge asked me, lol.

Lolita is so natural to me as breathing. When I wear lolita, I feel beautiful, strong, brave, I feel myself. It is so magical! Also, I love the lifestyle aspect of the fashion, so it is all I could want in my life.
