A trip to the Junk Yard

Today we had an adventure early in the morning: we went to the junk yard to buy chandeliers!

I saw these beauties on Facebook Marketplace yesterday at night, and couldn't help but want it so badly! As soon as the junk yard opened today, we were already there.

These were so dirty and with some missing pieces, but they are so adorable I wanted to take them home. Photos are from the ad.
At home, I cleaned them very well and we painted the rust spots. One of them I put in my bedroom and the other went to my closet!

The chandelier that was more detailed went to the closet!
It was missing a rose and that big crystal drop in the center, so I took both from the simpler one and put in this one. It looks so magical!

As I took one rose off the simpler chandelier, instead of putting roses on each "arm" of the chandelier, I put the roses all on the center, so it doesn't look that anything is missing.
Also, I took some spare crystals from the other chandelier and put them in the middle, where the big crystal drop was. It looks very cute and romantic.

I am very happy that I rescued them from the junk yard!
I hope they like their new home!

  1. Both of them look so cute, I would have never guessed they are from junk yard :D. I dream of one day owning one too, as they make every room look luxurious.
If you have time, St. Nicholas Church on Malá Strana have probably the most stunning one I have ever seen. That whole interior would look great on a dress :D.
