Today I had to go out to solve some things and took advantage of it to just have some fun.

I was prepared to visit Jack's Cafe again, but in the middle of the way I remembered today was fuck!ng monday and they are closed on mondays.

As a brazilian popular saying says, if life gives you lemons, put in a glass with some cachaça, sugar and ice and make an alcoholic beverage out of it, so, I googled another cafe and found this one named GlaceArt.

When we got there I got a little bit disappointed, because Google's photos were a lot different than the place, but soon we found out they moved from the previous location recently. Luckily, while the decoration wasn't so awesome, the food really was! I ate a lot!

It was very cool to try a different cafe!

Also, I went to a store today and found this thing to dry salad leaves, in pink! I had to buy it!

While browsing the store, I received many compliments from the shop girls about my outfit! I got a little shy... But it was so happy~

[Got Lolita] 3 pairs of shoes from Cotton Candy Feet

Yesterday I received three new pairs of shoes from Cotton Candy Feet!

First one is the Fairy Unicorn Rainbow Shoes!

These shoes are so adorable! My favorite detail is the big bow on the back of the shoes, it gives the shoes a magical girl feeling!

I love that the buckle is heart shaped, and also it has that hook with elastic that makes putting on and taking off the shoes suuuuper easy!

Then, second pair is the Shiny Unicorn Queen shoes in red!

I already had a pair in this model / color, but mine was so old I had to get a new pair!

Seeing the old and the new together is very fun because you can see there is a lot of improvement!

These shoes also have the heart shaped buckle and the hook with elastic!

It makes my life so easier!

I really love the glitter material!

Last, but not the least, we have Lace Princess shoes in dusty rose!

As I am trying something more sweet clasical, I thought it would be fun to own shoes in this color.

With the prints I currently own, I can find this color in the little details, as for example, the folds of the capitoné drawing in the print below have a very similar color. I want to buy Innocent World dresses in this color in the future, it is so beautiful!

[Sewing] Stupid Cake Hat

Today I took better pictures of the stupid cake hat I made yesterday.

I was tired of waiting for the Melty Chocolate cake hat to show up on second hand sales, and also I am trying to reduce the fabric pile I have at home, so I thought, "why not making my own damn cake hat?"

I used leftovers of materials I had at home, especially leftovers of lace fabric and leftovers of the wool I used to make a coat a long time ago.

I didn't wanted to spend not even a penny on this, so no felt fabric - one, because I am full of bills to pay, and two, because it would be more leftovers to handle later. I used some corduroy to make the letters and tried to embroider all around it. I still need to improve this hability, but looks just fine for the first attempt.

I also used some leftovers of pink pearls I had here. It was very satisfatory to embroider them all around the letters, and double satisfying when I used deffective pearls that had two pearls glued together - the ones I am not able to use to make necklaces. I feel that I am giving it a good use after all.

If you watch closely around the letters, you will see the lace pattern. Initially, I was going to paint the wool in a pink color, but again, I didn't wanted to spend money on this, so I sewed the lace over the wool to make it more pink. The improvised solution gave some texture to the cake after all. I used it on the top and on the sides. The lace was taken off a dress I was going to give away.

I am not very happy with the final result, maybe because that's too OTT for me; maybe because it was so damn tiring to make. But it is kinda cute looking. I just think I am going to need a huge wig to match with it, and maybe that's the reason I didn't liked it. Being a daily lolita is a lot more easier (and more comfy) than wearing an OTT outfit.

Today's thing

Spent all day long sewing a cake hat, and only finished it, guess when? When the sun is longer gone.

Bad photo, I know. Bad light. Bad humor.

Now it will take more six months to have another creative surge. Until then, I return to the normal programation, which is hating sewing.
