Inspiring Hair-dos from Gothic and Lolita Bible 27

A messy side ponytail looks so casual with a barrette on it.

With a lot of work and a lot of hair and hair gelatin, maybe I can achieve this look with my natural curls.

Wavy hair looks very good with this outfit, I just need to figure out a way to the hair not get too voluminous and frizzed.

More defined curls, but the weight and texture gives us the impression this hair is soaked in some cream. But looks really nice and easy to do!

This one is more defined yet, but it probably is made in a heat curling iron anyway. It looks so cute!

This hair bun looks so cute, probably it has as base that hair sponge donut. It is not hard to reproduce at all and looks so gorgeous!

 

[Got Lolita] Bodyline Heart & Poodle Pattern Heart JSK (L002)

Yesterday mailman senpai brought me a package! It contained the Bodyline Heart & Poodle Pattern Heart JSK (L002)!

This print is a classic Bodyline print, from 2009.

Fun fact is that I used to own the skirt version in this same color, ten years ago! I sold it unfortunately, but I always wanted the apron jsk version! I am so lucky to have found it ten years later! The best part is that I can wear it as a skirt too, since the things are detachable...

...or used to be. Since I bought it second hand, some original features didn't came with the jsk, such as the long pearl cord, the waist ties and something to attach the heart apron to the skirt. I don't care about the other items, but it is important to have something to attach the heart to the skirt, so I had to sew something there to do the trick.

I love how cute this heart bodice looks! It screams oldschool!

Another thing I like is the lonely heart pocket that is on the side of the skirt, don't know if it is useful though lol. The ribbons' placement is kinda weird, so I think I will just use them on a beret or something like that.

These poodles are so adorable! One more poodle print to my collection!

[Lolita 52 Challenge] How I get out of a wardrobe slump

Today's theme from Lolita 52 Weeks Challenge is "How I get out of a wardrobe slump".

Unfortunately, getting on a wardrobe slump is something very easy, especially if you wear lolita often or if you don't have a big wardrobe. So, here are some of the things I do when I get in one!

1. Look for inspiration!

Usually you get tired of your wardrobe because you think you have already done every single coording option with it, so the best thing is look for inspiration! Doing this in mainstream fashion is harder, but in lolita fashion this task becomes easy because, unless it is an exclusive model/print or something handmade or made especially for you, probably someone has coorded this exact model/ print before.

My favorite places to look for inspiration are old lolita magazines and Tumblr, with Tumblr being the number one I like to search!

2. Maybe it is time to buy new clothes?

That can sound ridiculous, especially if you already have a wardrobe big enough for a lolita army wear everyday, but sometimes a new cardigan or a new blouse in a different pattern can give a level up to your coord. And you don't need to go expensive in here; maybe you can find something very interesting thrifting!

That can be the time you can consider doing a small closet cleaning, and trading items with other lolitas! Something new in your wardrobe can make you inspired to try new things!

3.Maybe it is the weather!

I realized some of the times I get unspired to try anything new is because the weather, especially when it is too hot to just think about existing, imagine wearing layers in lolita. If you can, buy a versatile dress that can be worn without a blouse, so you have more options in that day. Make the coord pop with a different hair style and more accessories instead of one hundred layers!
